The collection includes all major modern releases in the series within a single package, featuring KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind. This allows players to experience the complete storyline of the franchise from its beginnings through its most recent events.
At the same time, Square Enix unveiled a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts IV, confirming that the game will be released on Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. While the company did not announce a release date, it stated that additional details will be revealed at a later time.
Kingdom Hearts IV follows Sora as he awakens in the mysterious city of Quadratum, where he embarks on a brand-new adventure. Throughout his journey, he will visit new worlds, encounter unfamiliar characters, and reunite with several familiar faces beloved by longtime fans of the series.
Square Enix also announced that a free demo version of KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind is available today on Nintendo Switch 2.
The demo includes two separate sections. The first covers the opening portion of the game through the early stages of the Olympus world inspired by Disney’s Hercules, with save data transferable to the full version upon release.
The second section offers a preview of the Toy Box world inspired by Toy Story. However, save data from this portion cannot be transferred to the full game.
The company further confirmed that players who purchase certain editions will receive exclusive in-game items depending on their chosen platform.
In addition, select digital pre-orders on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S will include 48 hours of early access before the official launch.
The Kingdom Hearts franchise first launched in 2002 through a collaboration between Square Enix and The Walt Disney Company. Since then, the series has sold more than 39 million copies worldwide.
The franchise is also preparing to celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2027. To mark the occasion, Square Enix unveiled a special anniversary logo alongside the latest Kingdom Hearts IV announcement.
